Ramashtakam

Verse 1

I worship Lord Rama, who is exquisitely beautiful and the destroyer of all sins. He delights the hearts of his devotees and represents the eternal non-dual truth. To that divine Rama I offer my devotion.

Verse 2

I worship Lord Rama, adorned with matted locks and radiating spiritual power. He removes fear from the hearts of devotees and destroys all sins. He is the same eternal and non-dual Rama.

Verse 3

I worship Lord Rama, who reveals the true nature of our inner self. Through his compassion he frees beings from worldly suffering and grants peace and purity to those who remember him.

Verse 4

I worship Lord Rama, who manifests the entire universe. Though essentially formless, he is the eternal reality beyond all impurities and limitations.

Verse 5

I worship Lord Rama, who exists beyond worldly distinctions and duality. He is pure consciousness, ever-present, eternal, and the embodiment of divine truth.

Verse 6

I worship Lord Rama, whose divine form sustains the vast ocean of existence. He manifests in countless forms and bodies and stands as the embodiment of virtue, compassion, and righteousness.

Verse 7

I worship Lord Rama, who pervades the supreme Brahman and whose divine nature is revealed through the great declarations of the Vedas. Through him the ultimate spiritual truth becomes known.

Verse 8

I worship Lord Rama, the bestower of auspiciousness and bliss. He removes the illusion of the world and shines as the radiant spiritual teacher guiding souls toward liberation.
